Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance (5 days)
This hands-on course provides the detailed instruction
and procedures necessary for the participant to have a good understanding of
basic robot maintenance. Upon successful completion of this course, the student
can perform disassembly, mechanical repair, test and adjustment of the robot
mechanical unit. This course is recommended for mechanical maintenance
technicians or other persons responsible for mechanical troubleshooting,
maintenance and repair. Students completing this course will be able to:
- Set-up and configure robot I/O
- Troubleshoot the robot and controller using error codes, LEDs, and diagnostic procedures in the technical manual.
- Remove and replace controller parts.
- Set-up and install the controller.
- Load software to the extent required for maintenance purposes.
- Master the robot.
- Recommended safety procedures.
- Diagnose robot
mechanical problems to the component level
- Replace
mechanical components on the robot
- Perform
adjustments on the robot
- Perform periodic
maintenance on the mechanical unit
Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all
training exercises. In addition to presentations and demonstrations, this
course offers a series of lab exercises for the student to complete. Lab
exercises relate directly to the classroom presentations and are intended to
reinforce what the student has learned through actual hands-on experience.
Audience: This course is designed for maintenance personnel who are responsible for installing and maintaining the robot and controller.
